Teachings on the Magnitazing Gesar and the transmission of Lung

19: 30-21:30 (Moscow time)

King Gesar made an undeniable contribution to the history of the Buddha's Teachings by preserving it. This affected not only Tibet, but the whole world. Such is the importance of Gesar as a historical figure. In the part of the cycle of the Teachings of Gesar Drakpo (Wrathful Gesar), discovered by Kyabje Namkha Drime Rinpoche, there are four aspects or four actions: pacification, augmentation, conquest and the wrathful aspect. These four activities help the practitioner to follow the path and keep our practice running smoothly.

The Magnitizing Gesar subdues all beings with his splendor.

The chains of this form of Gesar signify the power of conquest, the lotus garland signifies the power of passion and attraction. In his hands he holds a hook that enhances the ability to realize our desires, gain influence and wealth, attract people, good things - be it longevity, merit, fame, relationships. Also, this aspect of Gesar has a fire ritual - fire puja, which is often done in monasteries in India and Nepal.

The magnitizing aspect of Gesar is the embodiment of the blessed speech of all Buddhas and is inseparable from Guru Padma Totrengtsala. He dwells in a palace of great bliss of conquering activity in a splendid mandala that shines and emits a lotus-red light.

Conquering deities such as the Mighty Hayagriva with a horse on top of his head, the Goddess Kurukulla, Mahadev and Umadevi, with all the entourage, drala (warrior gods), protectors and guardian spirits surround the main deity, granting sincere practitioners the fulfillment of attractive activities in three realms.

The highest blessings of body (energy and radiance), speech (realization of all desires) and mind (meditative state of bliss and emptiness) come from the practice of Magnitizing Gesar. Meditation on this Deity will allow the practitioner to attract all beings in the three worlds and help fulfill all our earthly or supermundane desires. Success in conquering activity allows us to gain control of the phenomenal world so that we can fulfill our mundane goals for the benefit of all beings.

Teachings on the Guru-Disciple Relationship Based on the Examples of Great Practitioners of the Past

Session 1: 10:00-12:00 (Moscow time)
Session 2: 14:00-16:00 (Moscow time)

In the Vajrayana tradition, the relationship between Guru and disciple has a special meaning. Here the Teacher is the support and guide. Without Him, we cannot be sure either of the safety of our practice, or of the fact that we will arrive at the final desired goal.

The disciple, as a vessel, needs to possess certain qualities in order to be suitable for high teachings. The teacher should also have the qualities that make him true. Only such a Teacher will lead his disciples to real happiness. The disciple should be ready for the teachings, like a vessel ready to receive something of great value. In a full vessel there is no room for learning, a person is full of his convictions, which he protects, not letting in anything. Teaching will not fall into such a vessel. Also, the student's consciousness should be pure so that the teaching, falling into it, is not clouded. If the vessel is damaged (cracks, holes), the teaching will not be retained in it and will be lost. And finally, when the vessel is turned upside down, nothing will fall into it. These four qualities must be possessed by a disciple in order to be a worthy vessel for teaching. Such a disciple has a true bonds that connect him with the Teacher. Such a disciple is a joy for the Teacher, and such disciples were great masters, whose covenants and teachings we receive to this day, purifying our consciousness and opening our hearts.

The meeting of the Teacher and the student is not accidental, and it is always a great joy. The sincere relationship between the Teacher and the Disciple is alive, full of trust and love, granting the path leading to awakening.
